It was very interesting to me. It's my first book by Haruki. Before I read it, I had known of that Norwegian Wood is just romance novel, but it was not. Definitely.. just sex, sex…and sex! But it hasn't been described as that erotic.
With the help of audiobook, I read through it quite fast. There was something unrealistic, such as numerous suicides of characters, but it was acceptable to me.
One thing I was surprised was Japan's economic development in 1960s; the only difference between now and then was the presence of smartphone. Watanabe is just ordinary student, but his quality of living seems to be at the similar level with that of students these days.
Anyhow, I am thinking of reading Haruki's other novels or essays in the near future.
